Lahore, 24 November: Gilgit FC failed to turn up for their match against Star FC at Jinnah Stadium and allowed Islamabad’s Ravi FC to win the Region Phase in Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) League 2010 (Region Phase) at Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad.
Ravi secured six points, followed by Star FC (3) and Gilgit (0). Ravi -the winner of Region Phase – will face Al Hilal FC, Pakpattan on 29 Nov and Afghan Sports on 1 Dec at Arifwala in Round One- Group-B.
The Champions of departmental and club event will earn slot in 2011’s Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL), replacing two relegated team who finished 15th and 16th berth in PPFL 2010. The Winner of Department Leg will face Winner of Club Leg on 20 December 2010 Monday at 2.30 PM to decide overall champion.
There will be no match from 25-27 November and PFF League (Departmental Leg) will resume on 28 November when in Group-A, PPWD will collide with Gwadar Port Authority at 11.30 AM at Steel Town, Karachi,followed by Pak Steel- Police clash at same field at 2 PM.
