The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday declared the elections of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) held in Changla Gali, Abbottabad on June 30 as null and void while also issuing contempt notices to Faisal Saleh Hayat and Col Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi.

In a surprising development, despite the Lahore High Court’s (LHC) restraining order it issued on Monday, Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) held its elections at a secret place near Changla Gali on Tuesday in which renowned politician Faisal Saleh Hayat was re-elected for the fourth successive time.
Despite Lahore High Court (LHC) issuing a stay order on Monday against the disputed PFF elections of its two factions, the one led by Faisal Saleh Hayat nevertheless carried on with the polls in Changla Gali and elected him for a fourth term as president.
