KARACHI: KASB Bank, the sponsor for the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL), has reportedly backed out of its five-year contract which it had entered into with the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) last year.
KARACHI: KESC have signed 15-year old midfielder Muhammad Riaz who had represented Islamabad during the Super Football League held here recently. Hangu-born Riaz had been declared as the best player of the SFL. Assistant manager of KESC Zeb Khan told ‘The News’ that Riaz, who is currently in the national Under-23 team camp in Lahore, could be moulded into a crucial player and is being given Rs15,000 as monthly remuneration.
Pakistan football coach Akhtar Mohiuddin has termed the ongoing training camp and the foreign tour as useful preparations ahead of the Asian Games to be held in Guangzhou, China from November 12. He said that the event would be tough but Pakistan’s preparations made it a reasonable contender as well.
