Attacking midfielder Otis Khan will represent the Pakistan national men’s football team in the upcoming international events.

According to the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), Khan’s documentation is now complete and is eligible to represent Pakistan.

The 27-year-old began his football journey at the renowned Manchester United academy, where he spent 10 years between 2002 and 2012.

However, he got the chance to make his professional debut, in 2014, after leaving for Sheffield United.

Khan currently plays for Grimsby Town, a club he joined in July last year, in the third division of English football.

The wide midfielder joined Grimsby from Leyton Orient, where he scored once in 20 appearances during a six-month stint.

Before joining Orient, Khan also played for Walsall, Tranmere Rovers, Newport County, Mansfield Town and Yeovil Town.

Khan is eligible to play for Pakistan as it is the birthplace of his grandfather. He was also called up to play for the Pakistan team in January, 2015, in a friendly against Afghanistan, however he missed the match due to visa issues.

He was also picked for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches in March, 2015, but he decided against joining the Pakistan national side due to personal reasons.

It must be noted that Khan has made 276 appearances over the course of his club career, which includes 37 goals and 34 assists.

Earlier, it was also confirmed that former England U20 centre-back Easah Suliman will represent Pakistan after FIFA approved the request from PFF to change his national eligibility from England on Thursday.

The 25-year-old currently plays for UD Vilafranquense, which is in the second tier of the Portuguese football league system, while being on loan from Vitoria Guimaraes SC.

Khan and Suliman are likely to feature for Pakistan during next month’s four-nation cup in Mauritius and the South Asian Football Federation Championship (SAFF) in India.
