Pakistan to play Four-Nations Women’s Cup in Saudi Arabia in January

Pakistan women’s football is all set to feature in the Four-Nation Cup in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, commencing from 11 January to 19th of January, 2023. The four teams include hosts Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Comoros and Mauritius.

The Pakistan women’s national team returned to the international platform after a gap of eight years, having last played back in the 2014 SAFF Women’s Championship hosted in Islamabad. The women’s team had a tremendous comeback in the SAFF Championship 2022 with a phenomenal performance against Maldives by 7-0 in the final group stage match.

With a stunning performance against Maldives, Pakistan WNT is back on the FIFA rankings after a long hiatus of 6 years and is currently placed at 160. Moreover, the details of the women’s team camp shall be announced later.

It should be remembered that this will be the second international engagement of the Pakistan Women’s team after the charge of the Pakistan Football House was handed over to the normalization committee nominated by FIFA.
