LAHORE – Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) carved out thumping wins in the 13th Pakistan Premier League (PPL) at Qasim Bagh Football Stadium.
In the first match, SSGC toppled Huma Club Islamabad 6-2. SSGC took 4-1 lead against Huma Club at the end of first half. In the 6th minute, M Ibrahim opened the account for Huma Club and after 10 minutes, Sadam Hussain equalized the score 1-1.
M Waheed smashed in four goals for SSGC in the 24th, 44th, 87th and 89th minutes to give his side 5-1 lead. M Tahir also scored one for SSGC in the 40th minute while Maihan Faizee of Huma Club hit one to finish the match at 6-2.
In the second match, PAF thumped Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) 3-1. PCAA took 1-0 lead in the first half when M Naeem struck in the 30 minute while Medhi Hassan equalized the score 1-1 in the 61st minute. The second and third goals were scored by Faisal Yaseen and Mujahid in the 63rd and 68th minutes respectively. Adnan Anjum supervised the match while Dilawar Khan and Mehboob Ali assisted him.
