LAHORE – Karachi United and Pakistan Wapda won their respective matches in the 13th Pakistan Premier League at Qasin Bagh Football Stadium on Wednesday.
In the first match, Karachi United outpaced Pakistan Navy 4-2. At the end of the first half, Karachi United were enjoying 3-1 lead. Karachi United opened the account in the 4th minute of the first half through Aqib Ali while Fareed doubled the lead in the 18th minute. Shoaib of Pakistan Navy reduced the margin 2-1 in the 31st minute.
The third and fourth goals were converted for Pakistan Wapda by Affan Siddiqui and Muhammad Junaid in the 42nd and 66th minutes. Naveed Ahmed again reduced the margin to 4-2 in the 73rd minute for Pakistan Navy.
In the second match of the day, Pakistan Wapda beat Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL) 2-1. Wapda took 1-0 lead at the end of the first half.
In the third minute, Ahmed Faheem opened the account for Wapda and Muhammad Shoaib equalised the score at 1-1 in the 75th minute for Navy. Another goal was scored by Larosh Khalid for Wapda in the 84th minute.
Two matches will be played on tomorrow (Friday) as SSGC will take on Pakistan Navy in the first match while Karachi United will face KRL challenge in the second match.
