Footballers demand PM to get PFF Headquarters vacated [The Nation]

LAHORE – Football Community condemns continued occupation of PFF Headquarters by Ashfaq group leading to the relinquishment of football in Pakistan.

Pride of Performance, living legend and former national football team captain Ali Nawaz Baloch said this and added: “No development of the game is possible in isolation and without the support of FIFA and AFC. Pakistan has already suffered a huge loss while its football playing youth has no goal while the occupiers are occupying the PFF Headquarters build of FIFA/AFC funds and using PFF accounts full of FIFA/AFC funds but do not recognize FIFA & AFC. Pakistan is suspended due to the Ashfaq group’s illegal actions, which has not only caused great loss to already long-suffered sport but also defaming the country in entire world. We are appealing to the PM, himself a sportsman, to get the PFF Headquarters vacated on priority, efforts of IPC minister Dr Fehmida Mirza are commendable but the results are being anxiously awaited by the large football fraternity of Pakistan.”

He further said: “Our all hopes are with PM Imran Khan who has a deep pain for the country especially sports that he pays personal attention to get PFF Headquarters vacated from illegal occupants due to which Pakistan is suspended from its international membership.”
