Army, JAFA, Highlanders, Diya get big wins in NWFC

Defending champions Army, JAFA Soccer Academy, Diya WFC and Highlanders WFC continued their winning run at the 2021 National Women’s Football Championship, scoring a total of 46 goals in their respective matches on Saturday, March 13.

Hajra Khan and Swaiba Sarfraz scored hat-tricks for Army while Aliza Sabir and Rameen Fareed contributed with two goals each in their 15-0 win against Young Rising Stars Layyah. Khadija Kazmi, Alina, Mishal Bhatti, Eishal and Rishail also scored for the winners in the Group ‘C’ match at the KPT Stadium.

In the other Group ‘C’ match, JAFA Soccer Academy’s Sara Abdul Majeed five goals in a stellar performance which helped her team beat FC Karachi 1-8 at the KMC Stadium. Fatima, Kiran Fatima and Marwa scored the remaining three goals for JAFA.

In Group ‘D’, it was goals galore as well. Diya WFC registered a 15-0 win against MUK FC at the KPT Stadium. Shumaila and Marium Zehri were the highest scorers for the winners with four goals each while Rabia Javed contributed with a hat-trick and Zunaira Shah scored a brace. Ameerah and Aliya Jhallka bagged a goal each.

In the other match of the group, Highlanders WFC won 8-0 against Mohsen Gilani WFC. Nizalia was the pick of the players for the Highlanders with five goals while Asmara Habib chipped in with a brace. The remaining goal was scored by Fariha.
