Saqib Hanif joins Maldives side Club Green Streets

Experienced goalkeeper Saqib Hanif joined Club Green Streets for the upcoming season.

Club Green Streets manager, Ali Riza confirmed to BoalhaMV, that Saqib is onboard along with several other new players from the transfer market.

“We are gearing up so start pre-season practice as soon as possible, there will be a noticeable changes to our squad this time” Riza said. 

Saqib, a Pakistani goalkeeper last played in TC Sports Club. 

His debut in Maldives starts in BG Sports Club form 2016. After a year he played for Maalhos FC in 2017-2018 , later he joined Foakaidhoo FC.

After leaving Foakaidhoo FC, Saqib was signed by TC Sports Club and he played with the team during last AFC Cup. Saqib played in AFC Cup Group stage matches where TC played against Bangladeshi top Club Bashundhra Kings in March 2020.  However AFC Cup has been cancelled due to the spread of Covid- 19 virus around the globe.

Saqib is Pakistan under-23 vice captain and competes for Pakistan’s number one jersey against Canadian born Yousuf Butt who plays in Denmark.
