KARACHI: Pakistan Railways beat Pakistan Police 6-1 in the 12th Pakistan Football Federation League ‘B’ Division Final Round Departmental Leg in Karachi today, 17 October.
Railways went 2-0 up at the Drigh Union Football Stadium by half time. A first half brace from Wajid Ali (28th and 32nd minutes) included a penalty for the Lahore-based side.
Police managed to pulled one back soon after the restart via Abdul Waheed (47th minute) but Railways piled on the goals in 2nd half.
A well-taken hattrick by Hamza (70th, 81st, and 86th minutes) and a further goal from Iftikhar (72nd minute) gave Railways an emphatic 6-1 win for the full 3 points.
This was Railways’ first win of the B Division season taking them to 4 points in 3 matches while Police remain without any points after 3 matches.
Tomorrow, Sunday 18 October, will be rest day with a top of the table clash on Monday 19 October between Masha United and Gwadar Port Authority.
