KARACHI: Masha United opened their Pakistan Football Federation League ‘B’ Division Final Round Departmental Leg campaign with a solid 3-0 win against Pakistan Police at Karachi’s Drigh Road Union Stadium.
The team from Faisalabad were dominant throughout the match and could have scored more had it not been for several missed chances.
Farrukh opened the scoring with a clean strike from inside the box in the 13th minute for Masha United before Zunair doubled the lead in the 45th. Zunair scored thanks to a horrific blunder by the Pakistan Police goalkeeper, who spilled the ball into his own net from a regulation save.
In the 68th minute, Ahtasham headed to score the third goal to seal victory for Masha United.
On Thursday, Karachi United take on Pak-Afghan Clearing Agency (PACA) in the Departmental Leg match at the Drigh Union Stadium in Karachi while in Lahore, Lyallpur FC (Faisalabad) play Wohaib FC (Lahore) and Jeay Lal FC (Thatta) lock horns with Baloch FC (Quetta) in the Club Leg matches at the Punjab Stadium.
