KARACHI: Faisalabad’s Masha United and Lahore’s Pakistan Railways played a goalless draw in the 12th Pakistan Football Federation League ‘B’ Division 2020 Final Round Departmental Leg match on Friday, 23 October.
The Drigh Road Union Stadium in Karachi witnessed a rather dull affair with no clear chances for either side for the whole 90 minutes and sharing 1 point each.
The result concluded Masha United’s PFF League 2020 campaign on top of departmental leg unbeaten with 11 points from 5 games and essentially confirm their promotion to the 2021 Pakistan Premier Football League.
Masha, who are backed by the Shahid Afridi Foundation, also recently unveiled former Pakistan assistant coach and head coach of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) team Nasir Ismail as their manager for next year’s PPL.
Railways, whose match against PACA on Wednesday 21 October was not played and await PFF’s decision on all games involving PACA, would feel this 1 point boosts their chances of a return to PPL as they now have at least 5 points from 4 completed matches.
Tomorrow, Saturday 24 October, PACA are scheduled to play Pakistan Police with 4 PM kick off.
