KARACHI: Karachi United boosted their chances for promotion to the Pakistan Premier Football League by beating Pakistan Police 3-1 in the 12th Pakistan Football Federation League ‘B’ Division 2020 Final Round Departmental Leg match on Tuesday, 20 October.
Striker Anees scored two goals, one just before halftime and the other in the 66th minute at the Drigh Road Union Stadium in Karachi. Nabeel gave Police hope by making it 2-1 in the 82nd minute but Amir’s 90th minute strike sealed victory for Karachi United.
KU move to second in the Departmental Leg standings with 8 points from 4 games. Masha United are top of the table with 10 points from 4 games while Gwadar Port Authority are third with 7 points from 4 games.
The top three teams from Departmental Leg will be promoted to the 2021 Pakistan Premier Football League.
