Khaleeq inspires Huma to beat Ittefaq, GPA derail Railways

Humma FC smashed six goals past Young Ittefaq FC in the Club Leg match while Gwadar Port Authority came from beat Pakistan Railways in the Departmental Leg of the ongoing Pakistan Football Federation League ‘B’ Division on Friday.

The pick of the performances today was from Huma FC’s Khaleeq-uz-Zaman, who scored four in the 6-1 win against Young Ittefaq FC in the top of the table clash at the Punjab Stadium in Lahore.

A difference of only one goal kept Young Ittefaq FC at the top of the Club Leg standings while Huma FC were second before the match. However, Khaleeq-uz-Zaman’s splendid show has now changed that situation.
The forward scored in the 10th, 70th, 88th, and 91st minutes while Ijaz Ahmed and Ammar Iqbal scored in the 61st and 78th minutes respectively.

For Young Ittefaq FC, who have been plundering goals in their first two matches, Habib-ur-Rehman scored the solitary goal in the 56th minute.

Railways vs Gwadar Port Authority

In another interesting encounter, Gwadar Port Authority came from behind to beat Pakistan Railways 2-1 at Drigh Road Union Stadium in Karachi. GPA were the better side throughout the match in terms of chances created but were wasteful in front of goal.

In contrast, Pakistan Railways capitalized on the first chance they created, with Nafees Liaquat scoring in the 17th minute. GPA kept attacking the Pakistan Railways post in the second half as well and finally got the equalizer thanks to a header by Ishraq in the 78th minute. The winner was scored by Shahnawaz Polani in the 87th minute.
