Students of Madrasa to face Minorities Youth in Football League [APP]

PESHAWAR, Apr 27 (APP):For this first time in the history, the students of Madrasa would play against Minorities Youth in the week-long Football League to be commencing here at Qayyum Sports Complex from April 29, 2019.

Talking to media during his visit to the venue, Chairman Organizing Committee Shahid Khan Shinwari said that the arrangement have been given final touches and hopefully the League would be played in befitting manners.

Flanked by Karpal Singh, Chairman Minority Board Tadeel, Itrat Nazir, head of the Sarhad and Darwash Madrasa Maulana Hifzullah, Qari Saif Ullah, former Pakistan team skipper Aajiz Shakoor and Arshad Khan, Shahid Khan said that the aim and objective of the event is to create interfaith harmony among all Pakistanis.

He said minorities rendered great sacrifices for Pakistan He said minorities’ youth have great talent and they surely need such opportunities to come and show their hidden talent at national and international levels.

He said the youth of Madrasa are full of talent but they also lack due opportunities that is why decision have been taken to involve the youth of Madrasa’s and Minorities.

“We want to give a message of peace to the rest of the world and show the world that minorities are fully secure and their rights have been protected on all level in Pakistan,” Karpal Singh said.

Maulana Hifzullah of Sarhad and Darwash Madrasa said that the students of Madrasa’s are fully capable to take part in healthy sports activities. He also appreciated Shahid Khan Shinwari for extending support to the youth of Madrasas and Minorities.

It would further help in cementing the brotherhood and harmony among all because we are all Pakistanis, Maulana Hifzullah added.

Itrat Nazir, Tadeel on this occasion disclosed that they have selected the two minorities teams from all across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and opportunities would be given to Sikh, Hindu, Christian and other monitories youth to take active part in Football League.

They also demanded from the Prime Minister Imran Khan to announce 50 grounds at least in the already announced 1000 grounds to be constructed in all across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and merger tribal districts. They said there is no ground for the female minorities and it should be constructed or allocated on priority basis.

Shahid Khan disclosed that four teams – two each from Madrasa’s and Minorities will be played League matches and among them one will be declared as winner. The winner and runners-up team would also be awarded attractive cash prizes as well, he concluded.
