Since the new Supreme Court mandated administration led by Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah took over PFF headquarters from the FIFA-recognised administration of Faisal Saleh Hayat on 31 December 2018, their has been a lack of reporting of PPFL 2018 results in national press.
The results for 1 January 2019 fixtures in Karachi are as follows:
Army 1-0 Baloch FC Nushki
Muslim FC Chaman 0-0 PAF
SNGPL 0-0 WAPDA
KRL 0-1 Navy
The 2 January 2019 results are:
SSGC 1-0 KPT
NBP 0-1 Afghan FC Chaman
This makes SSGC joint top with PAF with only two more games left for each side. KRL, with a game in hand, are two points behind both. PAF maintain lead on top despite draw and having played an extra game, with KRL suffering a shock defeat at hands of Navy.
The refusal of Mian Abdul Bari led faction of PFRA, siding with FIFA/AFC refusal to endorse the Ashfaq Hussain election win under Supreme Court, to take part in any tournaments organised by new administration has forced them to employ more inexperienced local referees for remaining games of the league.
The league is expected to conclude by 13 January 2019. The full set of fixtures for this concluding month are shown:
