ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad Football Association (IFA) Tuesday announced to hold two football tournaments next month.
Talking to The Nation, IFA secretary Syed Sharafat Hussain Bukhari said: “Islamabad Jashan-i-Azadi Football Tournament will start from August 1, while Islamabad Super League (ISL) will commence from August 4. As many as 32 clubs are invited to feature in the Islamabad Jashan-i-Azadi Football Tournament and the entry date is July 27.”
He said top teams will take part in the Islamabad Super League, which include Akbar Club, Mehran Club, Huma Club, Evergreen Club, CDA Club, Islamabad Academy Club, Rover and Ravi Club.
“The winners will earn Rs 50,000, runners-up Rs 25,000, third position holders Rs 10,000 and the best player, top scorer and best referee to receive Rs 10,000.”
