Karachi, April 3: Fida Haji scored a brilliant hat-trick to help his side Hyundai Xteer Lubricants record a formidable 6-0 victory against Hilal Foods on the opening day of Leisure Leagues Corporate League underway here at Olympian Iftikhar Syed Sports Academy.
Apart from Haji, Hafee Raz, Nasir Haji and Kareem Haji scored one goal each for the HXL side.
However, earlier in the day, HXL lost its match to host Leisure Leagues by 2-1 score. Razik Mushtaq scored both goals for the winning team while Fida Haji scored one for the losing side. 
The tournament opener between Karachi United Footbball Foundation (KUFF) and Hilal Foods ended in a goalless draw.
Later KUFF thrashed Wonder Works recording a convincing 5-0 victory. Mohammad Abrar scored a brilliant hat-trick while Noor Ali scored two goals for the winners in the match.
A total of eight teams, namely MS Packages, Wonder Works, Hyundai, Coca Cola, Karachi United Football Foundation (KUFF), PSO, Joga Bonito and Hilal Foods are featuring in the tournament.
The tournament has been played on single league basis – each team playing a match against one another. Each team will play a total of seven matches and the top four teams will qualify for semifinals. A total of 31 matches will be played.
The league matches will be played on Saturdays while the semifinals and final will be played on Sunday next month after top four teams are decided on points table at the end of 28 league matches.
Coca Cola and Pakistan State Oil will join in the next round starting from 7th April 2018.
