PESHAWAR: A brace in the dying minutes by striker Khalid Khan saw Peshawar Red overcome a strong Malakand side 2-1, their third straight victory sealing a berth in the semi-finals of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter-District Football Championship on Monday.
After Maroof gave Malakand an early lead, heading in a cross by Sajid, here at the Sumbal Khan Football Ground, Khalid scored twice in the space of seven minutes to give Peshawar Red a 2-1 lead by the 69th and they held on for victory.—Bureau Report
