Turbat & Chaman outshined, Loralai V Lasbela results in draw – PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017.


Quetta, March 23, 2017: Two hat-tricks on the second day of the final round of PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017 claimed the win for Turbat and DFA Chaman against Jaffarabad and Sibi respectively, while the match between Loralai and Lasbela resulted in a draw with 1-1.
In the first match, Turbat escorting in brown won the match with a lead of 3 goals against Jaffarabad, though, Raja Azeem from Jaffarabad escorting in green scored an early goal in the first half. Later, Turbat’s striker Shabbir Taj turned the game and finished a hat-trick in the 44th minute of the first half against the opponents while taking a lead for his team. Taj was declared the Man of the Match and received the prize by the chief guest Principal Shaheed Sher Muhammad High School, Pishin, Karim Agha. The score was 5-2.
DFA Chaman emerged with a fitting victory in the second match, and displayed the performance of a finalist team. Wearing white, Chaman smashed Sibi with a wide margin of 9-0. A brilliant hat-trick by Mohammad Tahir, who didn’t only play at the striking end, but also defended goals against his team was declared the Man of the Match. Tahir and Shawali with hat-tricks, Hayatullah and M. Naseem won the game for Chaman by hitting the ball into different corners of the goal post of opponents.
The third match – a draw between Loralai and Lasbela kicked off with a free kick awarded to Lasbela at the beginning of the match following a handball by Loralai. Sajjad Ali of Lasbela scored a goal in the 32nd minute of the first half while Loralai equalized in the 68th minute of the second half. Chief guest Director BISP, Sardar Akbar Tareen gave the prize to the Man of the Match, Muhammad Saleem of Loralai.
Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai opened the final round on March 20 in Quetta. 12 teams have emerged winners out of the qualification round to compete for the finals. The semi-finals will be played on March 31 and final on April 2 in Quetta.
