KARACHI: Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) president Faisal Saleh Hayat and his companions on Thursday got interim relief as the contempt order was suspended by Lahore High Court (LHC).
The order was stayed when one of the defendants, Mustafa Advocate, sought interim relief through intra-court appeal.
The next hearing will be on October 19. Seven people of Faisal group are facing contempt charges for organising PFF elections on June 30, 2015, despite a stay order by LHC.
Meanwhile, the Faisal group has filed a case against its rivals for organising PFF Cup. It says LHC had appointed administrator Asad Muneer for running day-to-day affairs of the PFF and it was not his prerogative to organise football competitions.
