KHYBER AGENCY : 02 November: Young Jamrud Club have won Youth Football Tournament in Khyber Agency.
In the final match of the tournament played at PDA Ground in Regi Lalma in Peshawar on Sunday, Young Jamrud Club defeated Shinwari Club 3-0. This is very vital to be mention that Thirty-two teams from Khyber Agency and Peshawar took part in the tournament.
The aim of the the event was to promote peace and harmony in the region through healthy activities and also to polish the football talent in tribal belt . Alhaj Abid Afridi , representative of local MNA was chief guest on this occasion who distributed trophies and cash prizes among the winner & runner up .
There is a lot of talent in FATA and many tribal footballers had qualified for national team which is a great honor for all of us , Alhaj Abid Afridi while addressing the prize distribution ceremony .
Footballers of the region demanded basic facilities like grass , stands and dressing rooms in local grounds so that they could produce more talent from tribal belt . Hundreds of local spectators witnessed the final match.
