KARACHI: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday issued contempt notices to the PFF top brass for holding the federation’s elections near Changla Gali on June 30 despite the court’s stay order, sources told ‘The News’.

“Yes, PFF president Faisal Saleh Hayat and secretary Ahmad Yar Lodhi were served notices today and asked to appear before the court on July 23,” a source said.

PSB’s legal adviser Irfanullah Khan told this correspondent that contempt notices were issued and the proceeding was adjourned till July 23. “The deputy attorney general told me that contempt notices were issued,” Irfan said.

A PFF official said that they had also filed a contempt of court petition against the rival group for illegally occupying the PFF headquarters in Lahore.
