PFF Slams Sham Illegal Affair

Pakistan Football Federation has taken a serious note on the claims and so-called decisions announced by illegal people who have no standing or nexus with Pakistan football. These frivolous, false, malafide and self serving claims have been made by individuals who are banned and suspended from all football related activity.

The very fact that the so-called “press briefing” conducted through the government controlled PID at late night and addressed by a women of highly questionable repute, speaks volumes of the nature of the ‘sham affair’. The publicly known fact that the said women conducting the government sponsored press briefing, has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with football once again shows the illegal and moral bankruptcy of the instigators of this ‘sham affair’. It is not only highly illegal but also hilarious that this turncoat of a woman who has sought to impose herself
as chairperson of the PFF Women’s committee is attempting to draw a parallel with the existing constitutional and legal chairperson of the PFF’s Women’s committee, the highly respected and admired Senator Rubina Irfan. Senator Rubina Irfan brings the rich and varied background of football along with a series of major achievements in the field, which today have propelled women’s football in Pakistan from total obscurity to a position of pride and prominence.

This so-called invisible meeting where no credible observer or persons from the media were invited is another attempt by the official quarters to impose their arbitrary rule on the Pakistan Football Federation, which attempts have already been thwarted in the past and which shall again be dealt with in accordance with existing statutes, laws and the determined aspirations of the million of football fans and lovers across Pakistan. The state sponsored “QABZA MAFIA” made a vain attempt at taking over PFF House Lahore in April 2015. This attempt was crushed by the force of the constitution and the law of PFF along with the steadfast resolve of the football family of Punjab. In similar manner, the football family of Pakistan will stand resolutely in the way of any or all attempts by the same QABZA MAFIA in furthering their anti democratic, illegal, unconstitutional and unethical steps.

It is equally unfortunate that the present government has not learned its true lesson from the recently concluded POA saga. It is still licking its wounds after having being forced to take a complete U-turn in its ill conceived and unconstitutional attempt in installing an illegal parallel POA. The same illegal attempt is now being made on the internationally recognized (FIFA) pakistan football federation which has been running its affairs independently, totally devoid of any government support since the last several years.

Despite lack of official support PFF, honoring its national obligations to its credit has proved its true worth by arranging series of international events in Pakistan thereby dispelling the international misconceptions of pakistan being an unsafe country and being a no go area international sports. Inspite of financial constraints PFF has over the years successfully sought to bring into the mainstream, the emrging youth of Pakistan (Boys & girls), the future of destiny of pakistan. PFF has always endeavored to raise the image of Pakistan in the international sports community through its proactive continued positive interactions with world sports bodies.

PFF is an organization which stands solidly on the basis of its constitution and approved charter, working relentlessly for the promotion and development of football in all disciplines of the game in this part fo the world. Its laws, derived from its constitution lend foresight and strength to all its working disciplines both on and off the field. PFF has consistently strived to hold aloft the prestigious banners of its parent bodies, FIFA and AFC, which have lend unprecedented support and cooperation to it throughout the last decade.

The conduct of the non-bonafide and illegal individuals for the sole purposes of benefitting themselves is nothing but another failed attempt to take over an internationally recognized body. It is clarified that this illegal action by already disgraced and suspended individuals has no bearing on the working and conduct of PFF and all its allied bodies. The entire structure of PFF and all its wings are carrying on their work in accordance with approved regulations and statutes. As per PFF statutes the PFF congress for elections will be held as per schedule, rules and regulations on the 30th of June at Changla Gali. In accordance with national and international regulations, these elections will be held in the presence of FIFA, AFC and POA observers.

The PFF as per its statutes and regulations has already notified the complete list of 20 members of congress eligible to participate and vote in the congress. PFF will take all appropriate actions against all these individuals who have been found to be involved in this unconstitutional, illegal and unethical affair.
