The Faisal group conducted elections in Changla Gali and declared Faisal Saleh Hayat as the winner despite being given a stay order by the Lahore High Court.
Earlier, the group led by Col. Farasat had decided to hold elections in Lahore, whilst the Faisal group decided to go ahead with the polls elsewhere. However, the Lahore High Court gave a stay-order in the matter and convened the two parties on 7th July.
However, the Faisal group conducted elections today in the presence of AFC observer Mr. Sanjeevan Balasingam, with 11 members of the PFF Congress and 3 newly elected women members Sadia Sheikh (KarachI), Nadia Naqvi
(Lhr) and Fouzia Noureen (ISD) making it 14 members, who voted in favour of Faisal.
The Vice-Presidents’ election also took place in which Senator Rubina Irfan (Balochistan), Syed Khadim Ali Shah (Sindh) and Sardar Naveed Haider Khan (Punjab)
