MODEL TOWN WOMEN FOOTBALL CLUB WINS LUMS TOURNAMENT.
Lahore, 2 May: Model Town Women Football Club lift the Lums Women Football Tournament trophy after edging out Lums club in the final played at Lums University ground. A large number of game spectators were also present and witnessed the thrilling match. Before the start of the match the players of both the teams Model Town Women Club and Lums Club were introduced to the chief guest.
In 1st half both teams were goal less draw but after the interval the Model Town Women Football Club made a few changes and they bore fruit when Noreena scored in the 55 min to make the score which gave Model Town Women Football Club a famous and historic win.
It may mentioned here that Model Town Women Club through out well played in Lums Women Tournament. After the match, Chief Guest of the final match & prize distribution ceremony awarded winning trophy to MTWFC’s skipper while Lums F.C had to content with runners up trophy, received by skipper. Asama Usman Bhatoo from MTWFC received best player of the tournament award. A total of six teams were taking part in the tournament.
