KARACHI: Burma Mohammedan Landhi and Korangi Baloch Sharafi booked their berth in the final of 12thI am Karachi Football League 2015 after defeating Salar Welfare Centre Malir 4-2 on penalty shoot out and Hunter Sports Malir 6-3 respectively at Baloch Mujahid Stadium, Ibrahim Hydri in flood-lit being organised by Karachi United Football Foundation.
Burma Mohammedan hoping to win their second title who won the first title in 9th edition 2011-12 when he defeated Kalri Star Lyari in the final. Interesting record of Burma during this editiion beat Kalri Star three times in a row, League round, Super League and also in final.
Earlier in the first semi final Korangi Baloch outclassed unbeaten Hunter Sports 6-3. The captain of winners Abdul Hafeez got first hatrick while 11th in total. Abdul Hafeez scored 3 goals in a row 21, 45+1 and 53. Saeed Aziz netted two goals in 75 & 84, Substitude Asghar Ali complete the tally in 86 minutes.
Captain of Hunter Sports brooken the dead lock from his side in 54th minute, an own goal in 90+1 and Imtiaz Ali netted in 90+4.
Burma Mohammedan beat Salar Welfare Centre 4-2 on penalty shoot out after 1-1 draw in the stipulated time. Burma’s star striker Muhammad Anees took early lead for his team to scored a brilliant goal in 4thminute. Burma Mohammedan maintained their 1-0 lead in 74th minute but a penalty kick given against them and Abdul Haleem no mistake to enter the ball into net in the 75th minutes.
To make the match decisive on kicks from the penalty mark, in which Burma availed all opportunity through Ejazul Haq, Anees Ahmed, Abdul Hameed and Goal Keeper Abdul Ghani while two goals scored from Salar side Abdul Haleem and Noor Bakhsh netted the ball on target. M. Shoaib and Qasim Taj missed the penalty kicks.
Earlier Salar Welfare Centre thrashed Burma Mohammedan 4-1 in League round of Group ‘A’. Burma Mohammedan revanged their defeat in semi final on 4-2 pso.
Referees Adnan Khan, Javed Bangash, Abdul Malik, Naseer Uddin, Babar Khan, Shoukat Hussain, Jameel Naz and Saleem Uddin Babar while Abdul Karim was Match Commissioner.
