AFC President Sheikh Salman arrives in Pakistan for SAFF Women’s Cup finale

Sports is for Peace, Love and Brotherhood: His Excellency Shaikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa President Asian Football Confederation Reached Pakistan.

Showing his all out support for the football in Pakistan, President His Excellency Shaikh Salman Bin Ebrahim  Al-Khalifa President Asian Football Confederation reached Islamabad today. He will be the chief guest in the Final match and closing ceremony of 3rd SAFF Women Championship which be played on Friday, Nov, 21 at 2.00 pm at Jinnah Stadium Islamabad.

Earlier today the Exco meeting of PFF followed by Congress was convened in Islamabad. The honourable President AFC addressed the PFF Congress and said that Pakistan is like my 2nd home.  He said that this was his first ever address in the Congress of any member Association in Asia and I have brotherly ties with Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat who has lead the Pakistan’s football very well since he has become the President PFF.

Under his dynamic leadership Pakistan’s football has made unprecedented development. He further assured AFC’s support for the development in all departments of Pakistan’s football. He also said that during my tenure since I am the president of AFC I have tried to bring unity and solidarity among the family of Asian Football and in the next tenure we will bring certain changes needed for the development of football in Asia as it is the most populated region of the world full of talent and resources. He also thanked the President of Pakistan Football for inviting him to attend the Final match of SAFF Women Championship.
Earlier on after the recitation by Member Exco PFF Mr. Saeed Khan Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat President PFF delivered the Presidential address and said that it is a great honour to have His Excellency Shaikh Salman Bin Khalifa President Asian Football Confederation in Pakistan which shows AFC’s support for the development of football in Pakistan.

He said that Mr. President’s visit also show’s the importance of Pakistan in the football family of Asia. Some important decisions were also taken during the exco and congress in line with the FIFA and AFC regulations. Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat also said that PFF has given Maximum Exposure to the National team of Pakistan and due to visionary policies and hard work of PFF, football is showing progress at levels in Pakistan.

In the end the Head Coach of Pakistan, Mr. Shamlan Al Mubarik gave a data based presentation to the PFF congress showing the progress of Pakistan’s National team. Significantly this is for the first time when any AFC President has addressed the congress of PFF in the history of Pakistan.
