Pakistan set to play two friendlies against India in August

The Pakistan U-23 Team will be playing their Indian counterparts in two friendlies in August as they prepare for the 2014 Asian Games.

According to an update from the AIFF Media cell, the games will take place at  Bangalore Football Stadium, Bangalore on August 17 and August 20.

Pakistan lost to India narrowly in a 1-0 defeat in last year’s SAFF Championship, where an own-goal from captain Samar Ishaq tipped scales in India’s favour.

While India have gone with three senior players Sunil Chhetri, Francis Fernandes and Robin Singh, Pakistan as of now, only have Mohammad Ahmed (WAPDA) as their overage player despite having three overage slots in the U-23 Asian games event.
