Pakistan could reportedly be playing Indonesia in an away friendly on the 21st of June as they prepare for the 2014 Asian Games in September.

The U-23 Pak Shaheens have been in preparatory phase since the early part of the year with the side playing a friendly against Lebanon and taking part in Palestine’s Al-Nakba Cup. Moreover, the PFF has already secured three friendlies in August; two against India and one against Bahrain.

And speaking to aseanfootball.org,  Indonesian FA Secretary Sefdin Syaifudin claimed that the match is almost finalized with a few documents remaining to be exchanged.

“We are just waiting for some documents from the FA of Pakistan,” he added.

PFF Director Competitions and Developments, Pervaiz Mir also confirmed this stance after being questioned about whether such a plan was in the pipeline.

“We have not received a full confirmation yet. It is being worked on,” he told FootballPakistan.com in an exclusive interview.

Although foreign-based players are not being considered, Mohammad Adil and Kaleemullah, who play for FC Dordoi Bishkek, could also be unavailable as they are entering a crucial part of their season in the Kyrgyzstan league.
