KARACHI: Pakistan’s young coach Shehzad Anwar returned from Kuala Lumpur on Sunday after attending the first module of the five-modules Pro coaching diploma course — also called AFC Coach Asia Programme.

In the first module held from April 21 to May 2, 25 coaches from Asia participated.

One coach each from India, Maldives and Bangladesh were part of the programme.

“It was a good experience and we learnt a lot,” Shehzad told ‘The News’.

“The main focus in the first module was the physical demand in football,” he said.

Shehzad, who hails from Sargodha, will become the first Pakistani coach to have a Pro diploma, a qualification which will help him in the future.

Shehzad said that the second module would be held in August in China, the third in December in South Korea, the fourth in April-May 2015 in Germany and the fifth and last one in Malaysia in August 2015.
