KARACHI: Korangi Baloch and Khyber Muslim on Friday blasted their way into the final of the 11th KYI Coca Cola Football League being held here at the Baloch Mujahid Stadium.

 The final will be conducted at the same venue on Saturday (today) at 8pm.

 Both the semi-finals were decided on penalties.

 In the first semi-final, Korangi Baloch overwhelmed Azam Sports 4-2 on penalties after the game had ended in a 1-1 stalemate in the scheduled and extra time.

 Aqeel Ahmed put Korangi Baloch on the front foot with a nice field effort in the 41st minute.

 However, soon after the breather Aqeel Khan landed the equaliser for Azam Sports.

 As no further goal was scored in the stipulated period, extra time was given but in that, too, neither side managed to score.

 Korangi Baloch kept their cool in the penalty shootout and scored four times, conceding just two goals.

 Khyer Muslim overpowered Baloch Mujahid 3-2 in penalty shootout after the show had ended in a 1-1 draw in the scheduled and extra time.
