KARACHI: Pakistan football team’s former assistant coach Nasir Ismail has praised the effort of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) for sending Shehzad Anwar to Malaysia for Future Asia Coaching Course.

“I have no problem and am very happy that the PFF has sent Shehzad. I will wait for my turn and hopefully I will also be sent for this course in future,” Nasir told ‘The News’.

Nasir and Shehzad did their AFC Licence A course in Sri Lanka a few years ago.

Besides serving as coach of Pakistan’s age-group teams, Nasir has also served as Pakistan team’s assistant coach on several occasions.

Shehzad was the head coach of Pakistan team for the SAFF Cup in Nepal in September last year.

Shehzad has also coached Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in the Premier League as well as in the National Football Challenge Cup.

The course, which will be held in different modules, will enable Shehzad to become the first Pakistani to have a Pro-Licence.
