FPDC Stories: Baksh Tiwana, “My dream is to play for Manchester United.”

My name is Allah Baksh Tiwana. I am 17 years old. I am doing my O levels from Lahore Learning Campus. I have been playing football from 4 years. My dad was an Aitchisonian , and a perfect sportsman. I intend to follow in his footsteps. He is my idol. Sadly, He passed away 2 months ago. I already play for my school team as a midfielder. I also play for a small time team that I made with my friend’s.

It’s called Nisar FC. I have been playing in nisar colony for the last year and a half and it has increased my skills a lot. I play with extraordinary players over there. We play every weekend and we play almost every day in holidays. I idolize three great players that play with me there, Ahmad Hamdani ,Waasay and Haider Hamdani. I learn a lot just by watching them.

My goal is to next year study in Aitchison and play for their school team (InshAllah). In the mean time I am still going to play tournaments with my team and friends’s and hopefully win some but winning isn’t everything. I just want to have a good time. I love the adrenaline rush you get when you step onto the field and nothing else matters.

I want to represent my country and want to be recognized by a professional club. I want to play for Manchester United. It’s a dream farfetched but to be the first Pakistani player to play for Manchester united would be a huge honor and would bring great pride to my country and family.

My career goal is to be recruited in the army. I would also love to play for the army team.  That would have made my father proud( May ALLAH grant him the highest rank in JANNAH).
