Canada High-Commissioner: Woman football needs support [The News]

KARACHI: Marta Women Football Club President Raees Khan met with Canadian High Commissioner Creg Giokas here at a local hotel on Saturday.

Raees gave him a presentation about the activities of his club. Creg said that it was interesting to see women taking interest in football in Pakistan. “They should be given proper facilities so that they could improve,” Creg said and urged the private sector to play a role in women football development.

British Deputy High Commissioner JA Tucknott and his wife also appreciated the efforts of Raees for improvement of his club. Also present was patron-in-chief of the club Pirzada Ajmal Farooqui.
