ZESH REHMAN picked up his first piece of silverware with new club Pahang FA in the opening game of the Malaysian Super League.

Pahang beat last season’s league champions LionsXII 1-0 to take all three points in the game which also serves as the season’s Charity Shield. Matias Conti scored the only game of the match as Rehman formed a brilliant partnership at the heart of Pahang’s defence with former QPR teammate Damion Stewart

Rehman joined the Malaysia Cup holders last month, leaving leading Hong Kong side Kitchee SC.

The former Fulham and QPR defender enjoyed a successful spell with Kitchee, winning four trophies in two seasons including the HKFA First Division title, two FA Cups and the league cup.

And with Pahang’s successful start to the season, Rehman can now dream of adding more medals to his growing collection.

Pahang take on Perak on Tuesday (21) in the Malaysia FA Cup befoe travelling to Sime Darby for their next league game next Saturday (25).
