KARACHI: SMB Fatima and Marta Women FC A blasted their way into the final of the first edition of Mader-e-Millat Women Football tournament here at the KMC Stadium on Wednesday.
SMB Fatima crushed SMB Star 5-0. Ambreen Hameed hit three goals, while Reema and Irum landed one goal each. Earlier, Marta Women FC A defeated Marta Women FC B 3-0 with Naila Rani hitting two and international Mehwish Khan netting one.
On Tuesday, Marta Women A whipped SMB Star 11-0 in their opener. Zulfia Nazir landed five goals, while Mehwish Khan and Naila Rani scored hat-tricks.
In the other show, SMB Fatima whipped Marta Women FC B 7-0. Kiran Ali, Ambreen Hameed and Rushna hit two goals apiece, while Shehar Bano scored one goal.
The final will be played at the KMC stadium on Thursday (today) at 3:30pm.
The closing ceremony will be graced by Karachi Olympic Association’s (KOA) President Mehtabuddin Chawla and Marta Women FC Patron-in-Chief Pirzada Ajmal Farooqui.
