KRL Football Team Honoured by PFF

KRL Football Team Honoured in a Ceremony Held to Hand over Award Money of Rs. 1 Million by the PFF on their Historic Performance in AFC President Cup 2013.

A graceful ceremony was held today at PFF Secretariat FIFA Football House in the honour of KRL Football Team in which President PFF Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat handed over award money of Rs. 1 Million to the KRL team for their memorable performance by standing as Runners Up in the AFC President Cup 2013, Malaysia in addition to AFC Bonus money of USD 25, 000 was also handed over by the president PFF to D.G KRL.

The ceremony was graced by the Players and officials of KRL Football team accompanied by D.G Khan Research Laboratories Mr. Sami Ullah Khan. General Retd. Arif Hasan President POA and managers, Coaches and Captains of all PPL participating teams were also present in the event to appreciate the KRL Football Team’s performance. The KRL Team Head Coach Mr Tariq Lutfi while sharing his experience of AFC President Cup 2013 told that the competitor clubs were the champion clubs of their countries who have much higher FIFA ranking as compared to Pakistan. He dedicated this victory to Pakistan Football Federation and Pakistani Nation.

The D.G KRL thanked PFF for this huge encouragement and proclaimed this historic victory due to collective team efforts. He said that the players are our heroes and they have made KRL to feel proud of their Victory. He also praised the Manager of KRL Team Mr. Ayaz Butt and Assistant Coach Mr Sajjad Mehmood at this occasion. Lt. Gen. Retd. Arif Hassan President POA highly appreciated the
performance of KRL Football Team and expected more successes from them. Here he specially pointed out the fruitful efforts of PFF Chief for the promotion of Football in Pakistan at all Levels.

The ceremony ended with the note from the President Pakistan Football Federation Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat who extensively praised the excellent performance of KRL Team and said that their victory has also helped Pakistan Football Federation to achieve yet another honour by receiving AFC ‘Aspiring’ MA Award of the Year 2013 despite of numerous financial constraints comparing with its competitors.

He also mentioned the wins recently held by the Pakistan Junior Football Teams against high ranked teams of the region. He valued the performance of Samar Ishaq the Captain of KRL, Kaleemullah the key player of KRL and all team members who brought them to this stage where they earned glory for their team and country.  He also mentioned that mainly due to the better performance of PFF, Pakistan is hosting SAFF Women Championship in 2014.
