KARACHI: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) postponed 15 Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) matches including today’s KRL opener against ZTBL in Lahore due the national seniors’ camp for the tour to the Philippines this month.

“The matches have been postponed due to the national team’s camp and tour to the Philippines,” the PFF announced yesterday.

PFF Secretary Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi also confirmed that the camp for the tour will begin in Lahore from today with Bahraini coach Mohamed Shamlan.

“The players will join the camp today for the tour,” Lodhi told The Express Tribune. “We’ve arranged this tour at a very short notice and hopefully the visas will come on time. Pakistan will be playing two matches against the Philippines from October 11. The team is scheduled to leave on October 9.”

Meanwhile KRL coach Tariq Lutfi said that the opening five matches of the club have been rescheduled to the end of this month, and that players from his squad have been called to join the national camp.

Meanwhile, Pak-Afghan Clearing Agency (PACA) and Afghan FC played out a 2-2 draw at the KPT Stadium in Karachi yesterday.

Debutants PACA’s Sirajuddin scored the opening goal in the 10th minute of the match which was equalised by Afghan FC’s captain Jadeed Khan three minutes later.

Naimatullah helped Afghan FC take the lead with a goal in the 37th minute, but PACA quickly netted another equaliser through Ahmed Shah in the 44th.
