Trials for AFC U19 qualifiers begin today [The News]

KARACHI: PFF will conduct trials for selection of Pakistan Under-19 football team for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) qualifiers from Monday (today) in Lahore.

Players born during January 1 to December 31, 1997 are eligible for the trials which conclude on August 21.

The PFF has asked all provincial football associations to send four players each while each region including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, FATA, Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan have been told to send their top two players.

Similarly, each Premier League club and affiliated department of the PFF have been asked to send their two best footballers in the trials to be conducted by the PFF Technical Study Group carrying Syed Nasir Ismail, Sajjad Mehmood, Abdul Sattar, Tanveer Ahmad and Nadeem Abdul Rehman. AFC Under-19 Qualifiers are due to be held in Iraq from October 8-12. Pakistan have been bracketed in Group C with Kuwait, hosts Iraq and Bangladesh.
