ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Special Olympics team departed to Thailand on Friday to participate in Special Olympics Asia Pacific Regional Football Qualifier of the 2013 Unified Cup to be played from June 15 to 21. The tournament will be 11 A-Side Unified Football Competition.
Assistant coach of the team Sartaj Zada told APP that the team will depart to Thailand from Karachi. “A total of 21 members delegations including 16 athletes and 5 officials have gone to participate in the event,” he said.
The athletes comprise 9 Haroon, Muhammad Hanzla Bari, Syed Furqan, Junaid Khan, Obaid Ur Rehman, Waheed, Tanveer Ahmend, Ali Zer, Sajid Shah, Obaid Majid, Ghulam Raza, Uzair Mustafa, Jamal Udin, Radif ul Hassan and Muhammad Asif Khan.
The officials include Arshad Javed, Muhammad Salim Sheikh, Muhammad Asif, Arif Hussain and Sartaj Zada.
