Pakistan Football Federation has announced to conduct National U-16 Football Championship, 2013 which will commence on the 31st May, 2013 at Okara Football Academy, Okara.
According to the press release issued here by PFF. Pakistan Football Federation always put its utmost efforts to develop and promote football at Youth level. This will give the chance for the emerging talent to display their football skills. With the passage of time football is becoming popular among youth and PFF has to streamline the emerging talent. So, this year also Pakistan Football Federation has planned to organize U-16 National Football Championship, 2013 w.e.f 31st May – 10th June, 2013.
Total 13 teams will compete in this Championship in which 8 teams are Provincial/ Regional Teams (Punjab Football Association, KPK Football Association, Balochistan Football Association, Sindh Football Association, Islamabad Football Association, AJK Football Association, FATA Football Association and Gilget Baltistan Football Association), 4 Youth Coaches Teams from (Karachi, Quetta, Lahore & Peshawar) and one team Host (Okara Football Academy).
Pakistan Football Federation’s nominated Youth coaches in each province will make a strong Youth team from their area after a series of trials in different cities and remote areas of each province.
This will help each team to form/ utilize its young pool of talented players to compete in a competitive manner. This championship will boost the morale of the youth and prepare them for big competitions. The Host Okara Football Academy, Okarais already doing their best to arrange this mega event in a befitting manner.
