KARACHI: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) on Tuesday invited AFC License A coach Nasir Ismail for the junior football team camp, which will be held at Lahore from April 22 to May 1.
Nasir, also a National Bank coach, was not in the initial list of the assistant coaches invited by the PFF for doing work with Pakistan’s Serbian coach Zavisa Milosavljevic.
Nasir, a former Pakistan assistant coach, was called by the PFF secretary Col Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi through a letter he received on Tuesday.
The PFF on Tuesday also mentioned the name of Nasir Ismail in its press release.
Nasir might be given a junior team like Under-19 and Under-21 in future.
Pakistan will be featuring in the AFC Under-19 Championship Qualifiers next year.
Nasir, who topped the AFC License A course out of 30 candidates in Sri Lanka in 2008, has already served as head coach of national Under-13 team in 2007 and 2008.
In 2009 and 2010 he worked as an assistant coach with the then national coach George Kottan of Austria.
In 2011-12 he worked with Tariq Lutfi and in 2012 Nasir was in the support staff of Zavisa Milosavlejvic.
