Kalri Star (Lyari) and Baloch Youth (Garden) drew with each other in what was a thrilling encounter between the two sides, as both teams were able to salvage a point each in the 10th Aman Sports Karachi Football league match here at Korangi Baloch Stadium, Sharafi on Thursday night, 1 April 2013.
Amir Dur Mohammad scored for Kalri Star while Baloch Youth’s goal was scored by Shoaib Qasim. A large crowd made their way up to the Korangi Baloch Stadium in Sharafi Goth and applauded all good moves made by players. The match started in an interesting fashion and became even more appealing when Baloch Youth goalkeeper Bilal failed to parry left winger Sarwar Iqbal’s strike (Kalri Star) to safety, the ball fell to Mohammad Amir who sent it into the back of the net, earning his side a 1 goal advantage.
Being down by a goal, Baloch Youth exerted even more pressure on the opposition which yielded a positive result in the 20th minute when a miscued clearance by Kalri Star’s goalkeeper Faraz Ahmed on a cross from the right side resulted in an equalizer via a calculated strike from full back Shoaib Qasim. The teams remained level till half time . The match picked up pace again following the break as both teams strived to gain a lead over the other. However efforts of both teams weren’t enough to take the ball past the goal line as the game remained 1-1 till the final whistle. T match was supervised by Referee Saeed Alam assisted by Mohammad Tahir and Shaukat Hussain while HM Hanif was match commissioner.
Next up, Irfan Memorial (Landhi) will take on Baloch Youth (Garden) on Saturday, 13 April 2013, in the KFL at Korangi Baloch Stadium in Sharafi, Karachi.
KORANGI BALOCH THRASH DEFENDING CHAMPION BURMA Mohammedan 4-1
KARACHI, April 14: Korangi Baloch (Sharafi) outclassed defending champion Burma Mohammedan (Korangi) 4-1 to top on league table with 4 points in the 10th Aman Sports Karachi League 2013 at Korangi Baloch Stadium on Friday night (13.4.2013).
The sixth league game saw Korangi Baloch FC thrash Burma Mohammedan. Two goals from Captain Abdul Hafeez (24th and 51st min) and further goals from Abdul Jabbar Jr. 37th and Aqeel Ahmed 57th min helped Korangi Baloch FC record the emphatic win. Abdul Rahim netted 55th min got the lone goal for Burma Mohammedan.
The match was supervised by Referees Anees Akhtar, Ahmed Mian and Farid Toofan while H.M. Hanif as the Match Commissioner.
