Zavisa will be removed by PFF

KARACHI: It is almost certain that Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will remove the national team’s Serbian coach Zavisa Milosavljevic following his team’s pathetic showing in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup Qualifiers in Kyrgyzstan.

“It is certain that he will be removed,” a well informed source told ‘The News’ on Thursday.

“The PFF invested so much in the team during the last few months but the outcome was far from encouraging,” said the source.

Pakistan’s below-par showing in the qualifiers has hugely disappointed the PFF top brass. PFF president Faisal Saleh Hayat has taken notice of the team’s miserable run and has asked for a report from the Serbian.

Sources said that Zavisa would submit his report in three days after the team’s arrival. Sources said that the coach would not be able to defend his position as the team had been given extensive exposure, which was unprecedented in the country’s football history.
