Sunrise Women Club inaugurated

KARACHI: The Sunrise Women Football Club was inaugurated at the Government Degree College Hyderabad on Saturday.

Raees Khan, the president of Karachi-based Marta Women FC, was the chief guest on the occasion. He also announced providing complete kits to the players of the new club and the players of the Government Girls College Hyderabad where the inauguration ceremony was held.

Also present were the sports teacher of the Government Girls College Hyderabad Attia Muzaffar and the general secretary of the Sunrise Women FC Hina Nazir Ahmad, international footballer and trainer of the club Humaira Nazir and the club’s president Miss Shabnam.

Raees said that Marta Women FC would try to hold a football tournament in Hyderabad in the near future. He said that there was abundance of talent in Hyderabad in women football, but there was lack of grounds and other facilities.
