Lahore, 28 March: Saleem Khan F.C lift the district football championship-2013 trophy after edging out Lums club in the final played at Model Town Football Club / Academy.
Mr. Zahid Amir Rana Chief Executive Regal Star Network Pvt Ltd was the Chief Guest on this occasion. A large number of game spectators were also present and witnessed the thrilling match. Before the start of the match the players of both the teams Saleem Khan Club and Lums Club were introduced to the chief guest.
In 1st half both teams were goal less draw but after the interval the Saleem Khan F.C made a few changes and they bore fruit when Muhammad Danish scored in the 41st min to make the score which gave Saleem Khan F.C a famous and historic win. It may mentioned here that Saleem Khan F.C through out well played in district Football Championship. After the match, Chief Guest of the final match & prize distribution ceremony Mr. Zahid Amir Rana awarded winning trophy to Saleem Khan’s skipper while Lums F.C had to content with runners up trophy, received by skipper.
At the end of the ceremony, Mian Rizwan Ali DFA President said District Football Championship 2013 was held from 20th February till 27th March 2013 at Model Town Football Club / Academy. A total of fourty teams were taking part in the 37 day tournament. The opening match was 20thFebruary between Federal Colony FC and Samnabad FC. Mian rizwan Added that District Football League-2013 will be held at the end of April.
