KUSC 2013 Ro16 begins

The 8th Karachi United Schools Football Championship 2013 saw the beginning of its Round of 16 games with 2 results at KMC Stadium, Karachi.

In 1st pre-quarter final game, Aga Khan Higher Secondary School beat NCR 3-1 while in 2nd pre-quarter final game, St Patrick’s High School beat Beaconhouse Gulshan 9-0.

AKHSS vs NCR game was evenly poised 1-1 at half time with goals from Fahad Ghani (NCR, 19′) and then Yasir Shah (AKHSS, 25′). Yasir Shah then scored twice more for AKHSS in 2nd half (57′, 58′) to complete his hat-trick and a 3-1 win for his school. Yasir Shah became top scorer of the event with 14 goals. Aga Khan Higher Secondary School now face the winner of Southshore vs Generation’s School game.

In 2nd game, St Patrick’s completely hammered BSS Gulshan 9-0 with goals from Calvin (9′, 20′), Anthony (28′), Muzammil Fazal (12′, 50′), Suneel Wasi (37′, 42′), Usama Tanzeem (48′, 52′). They now face the winner of the COMMECS College vs Cordoba School game.

Referees were Saleem Faiz, Babar Khan, Farrukh Riaz, and match commissioner Khalid Majeed.

Jam XI (Malir) hammered Bacha Khan Memorial (DFA West) 8-0 to reach the next round of the 7th All-Pakistan NBP Football Cup being held at Colony Sports Stadium in Malir, Karachi.

Jam XI completely dominated Bacha Khan Memorial with a hat-trick from Amin and further goals from Kashif (2), Liaquat Ali, Aamir, and Imdad. Referees were Saeed Khan, Khalid Mumtaz, Siraj Talib, Laiq, and match commissioner M Adnan.

On Monday, 4 Feb 2013, Shahbaz Mohammedan face All Brothers (Malir).

Muhammadi Stadium in Memon Goth, Karachi witnessed 2 more games of the All-Pakistan Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Football Cup hosted by DFA Malir.

Sahibdad Star FC (Malir) edged fellow Malir side Ismail Memorial 4-3 on penalties after a 0-0 draw. In other game, Dilbod Mohammedan thrashed Super Star (Landhi) 4-1 with 2 goals each from Sunny and Adil while Amin responded for Super Star.
