KARACHI: Karachi Port Trust (KPT) suffered a 1-3 defeat against KRL in the Pakistan Premier Football League on Saturday at Railway Football Stadium in Lahore on Saturday, 13 October 2012.
After a barren first half, KRL raced to a 3-0 lead with Mehmood Khan scoring twice and Kaleemullah scoring once within a span of 16 minutes. KPT’s Muhammad bin Younis managed to score a consolation goal in the 90th minute.
In another match, Habib Bank (HBL) overcame Wohaib FC 1-0 at UMT Football Ground in Lahore after a cagey game. Substitute forward Asif scored for HBL in the dying minutes of the game to get all 3 points for the bankers.
Sunday, 14 Oct 2012, will be a rest day with matches resuming on Monday, 15 October.
